Q.:  When was the first car insurance issued?
              - Jay R.
A.:  Travelers Insurance issued the first car insurance policy on February 1, 1898.  It covered the liability costs involved in a collision with a horse or horse-drawn vehicle.  It cost $11.25 and covered from $5,000 to $10,000 worth of damage.  Truman J. Martin of Buffalo, NY had the honor of purchasing the policy.

Q.:  How many peanuts are in a jar of peanut butter?
              - Javier V.
A.:  On average, it takes 548 peanuts to make a 12-ounce jar of peanut butter.

Q.:  What makes the sound when you crack a whip?
              - Chelsea B.
A.:  When done properly, the tip of the whip gets propelled so fast that it breaks the  sound barrier.  The sound you hear is a small sonic boom.  So there.

Q.:  What month has the most suicides?
              - Dave W.
A.:  What a morbid question.  Statistics show that April traditionally has the highest number of suicides.  December and January have the lowest.

Q.:  Which freezes faster...a cup of hot tea or cold water?
              - Teri D.
A.:  You know, I think we had the same physics books in college.  Hot tea will freeze faster because during the heating process, the boiled water releases all of the air bubbles that can slow down the freezing of water.
