The Ending - Verbal Kint is Keyser
Söze. The attack on the ship in San Pedro Harbor was
meant to kill the only person who could positively identify
Keyser Söze, not to break up a cocaine deal. All of
"the usual suspects" are killed except for Verbal Kint.
McManus is stabbed in the back of the neck. Hockney is
shot after securing the money in the van. Fenster was
killed mid-way through the movie by Kobayashi's people.
Dean Keaton was shot twice in the head by Keyser Söze.
Just as Verbal is released from the police station, Jack Baer
receives a fax with a sketch artist's depiction of what Söze
looks like, courtesy of the only survivor of the attack on the
ship - it's Verbal Kint. Verbal starts walking normally,
showing that he was only faking being crippled. Agent
Kujan looks at the board in Captain Rabin's office and realizes
that the entire story (and movie) that Verbal told him was made
up. Kobayashi and Söze safely drive away before Kujan can
stop them.
