The Ending - Teddy Gammell did not kill
Leonard's wife. Teddy was the police
officer in charge of the break-in case who ended up helping Leonard
track down and kill the second intruder. When Teddy finds
out that
Leonard killed Jimmy because Leonard thought Jimmy was the
second mugger, Teddy reminds Leonard of what really happened
after the night Leonard lost his ability to retain short-term
memories. Leonard's wife actually survived the
attack. The story about Sammy and his wife was really what
happened to Leonard. In fact, Sammy never had a
wife. It was Leonard's wife who died of the insulin
overdose while testing Leonard's short-term memory. Teddy
has been using Leonard to kill drug dealers while Teddy steals
the money, figuring that a guy who can't remember anything would
be able to live with what he's done. Leonard refuses to
accept everything that Teddy tells him, so he makes a note to himself that that Teddy's license
plate is that of his wife's "killer." He then
notes on the back of Teddy's picture that Leonard should not
believe his lies, even though at this point he knows that Teddy
is telling the truth. Thus at the start of the movie, Leonard
kills Teddy for killing Leonard's wife.

Men
in Black II

|
|
The Ending - Laura Vasquez is the Light of
Zartha and the daughter of a Zarthan princess that Kay fell in
love with, although she has no idea what Kay's talking
about. Jay
and Kay, with the help of Frank the Pug, rescue everyone at MIB
headquarters. The agents then race against the clock - and
Serleena - to send Laura back to Zartha before she accidentally
destroys the planet. The agents kill Serleena and Laura is
safely returned to her home planet. The torch on the
Statue of Liberty is actually a neuralizer and flashes in order
to remove the memory of what happened from the entire city's
population.

Minority
Report
|
|
|
The Ending - John Anderton is innocent of
the murders of Leo Cross and Agent Danny Witwer. Anderton
was set up by his boss, Lamar Burgess, because he discovered a
flaw in the system - the Pre-Cogs don't always agree on the
future crimes. Whenever these differences occur, the minority report is deleted
from the system, but not from Agatha's memory. Anderton is finally captured and placed in
stasis until he's freed by his wife. During a reception
for the nationalization of the PreCrime program, Agatha's
visions of her mother's murder are displayed for everyone to see
- that Lamar killed her mother and had used the system to get
away the murder. The PreCrime program is permanently
shut down.

The
Mothman Prophecies
|
|
|
The Ending - John Klein discovers
that Indrid Cold, the Mothman, only appears before major
catastrophes. Klein returns to Point Pleasant, WV,
but doesn't tell Connie what he learned in Chicago.
Klein receives a call from Gordon Smallwood telling him
that the Mothman is right, then hangs up. Klein
heads to Gordon's house and finds Gordon dead beside a
tree, the result of freezing to death eight hours
earlier. Klein tells Connie that he spoke to Gordon
on the phone no more than an hour earlier. Cold
warns Klein about a disaster on the Ohio River, but Klein
mistakes the event for something at a chemical
plant. He tries to warn the governor, who's speaking
at the plant that day, but comes across as being
crazy. Klein watches the governor's speech, but
nothing happens at the plant. His waitress hands him
a letter that was left for him, apparently sent by Indrid
Cold telling Klein that his dead wife will be calling at
his house in Georgetown. Klein leaves Point Pleasant
and returns home. Connie calls him and asks that he
ignore Cold's offer to speak to Mary and return to Point
Pleasant. Klein gets the call from his dead wife,
but doesn't answer it. He returns to Point Pleasant
just in time to see a traffic jam on a bridge over the
Ohio River. The bridge collapses, killing 36
people. Klein saves Connie from drowning and
becoming number 37. Klein and Connie recall Connie's
dream where she was drowning, with presents all around
her, and a voice saying "Wake up, number 37"
(Klein was the one who said "wake up" when he
rescued her from her car). Nobody from Point
Pleasant reports seeing the Mothman again after the bridge
collapse.

Mr.
Deeds
|
|
|
The Ending - Babe (or Pam as Mr.
Deeds knows her) is filming everything she does with
Deeds, but her tabloid TV show Inside Access edits
all the footage to make Deeds seem like a bad guy. Deeds breaks up with Babe
and sells his shares of the company to Cecil. Cecil announces at the Blake Media
shareholder's meeting that he's firing everyone and
selling off the company. Babe
appears with Blake's personal diary and announces that Deeds was not the rightful
heir to the company. Emilio, Blake's longtime
butler, was actually Blake's illegitimate son.
Emilio fires Cecil, keeps the company intact, and gives Deeds $1 billion as Deeds returns to Mandrake
Falls with Babe. Deeds finally gets a card published
by Hallmark. Deeds buys everyone in town a red Corvette.
