Harry
Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
|
|
|
The Ending - The Chamber of Secrets is
located under the women's bathroom sink. Harry speaks in
Parseltongue (some kind of serpent language) and the sink opens
up. Harry leaves Ron and Lockhardt behind and goes in
search of Ginny, who he finds unconscious on the floor.
Thomas Marvolo Riddle shows up. Riddle's diary was meant
for Harry, but Ginny had read it first and was responsible for
all of the messages appearing in the school. Tom turns out
to be Lord Voldemort (rearrange the letters of Tom's name and
you get "I am Lord Voldemort"). Tom belittles
Dumbledore, but Harry defends him. Dumbledore's phoenix,
Fawkes, flies in carrying a sword and the sorting hat. Tom
calls on the basilisk to kill Harry. Fawkes scratches out
the basilisk's eyes so the Harry can look directly at the snake
(looking directly at the basilisk could kill anyone).
Harry kills the basilisk by driving the sword through the
snake's head, but he's bitten on the arm. Tom celebrates
Harry's and Ginny's demise (if Ginny dies, Voldemort comes back
to life), but Harry takes the basilisk tooth out of his arm and
stabs Tom's diary repeatedly. Tom explodes. Fawkes
cries on Harry's wound and neutralizes the poison. Harry
returns the diary to Lucius Malfoy and tells him he knows Malfoy
was behind the whole thing. Malfoy hands the diary to
Dobby, who is encouraged to open the book by Harry.
Harry's sock is inside, and Dobby is free of his bond to Malfoy.
Dobby attacks Malfoy just before Malfoy could attack
Harry. Hermione recovers and joins Harry and Ron at the
feast (was it me or did Hermione and Ron look like they were
going to hook up?).

Harry
Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
|
|
|
The Ending - Professor Quirrell is the person trying to get the sorcerer's
stone in an effort to allow Voldemort to return to his normal
self (Professor Snape was trying to protect Harry Potter
all along). Harry
finds out that Professor Quirrell and Voldemort share the same
body. Harry looks into the magical mirror and
learns that he has the stone in his pocket (a spell cast by
Professor Dumbledore allowed only those who wished to find the
stone and not use it to actually locate the sorcerer's
stone). Harry defeats Quirrell when Quirrell turns to ash
after coming in contact with Potter's skin. (Dumbledore explains
that Quirrell
couldn't touch Harry because Potter's mother had sacrificed herself to save
him, and he was protected by her love.). Griffindor
wins the House
Cup.

Highlander:
Endgame
|
|
|
The Ending - Conner MacLeod gives
his life to Duncan MacLeod so that Duncan would have a
better chance of defeating Jacob Kell. Meanwhile,
Kell beheads every immortal in his gang, including Kate
and Jin Ke. Duncan and Kell face off in an abandoned
warehouse. Kell proves to be too much for Duncan to
handle, but Kell refuses to kill MacLeod. Kell drops
Kate's necklace on MacLeod's body to let Duncan know she's
dead. Just as Kell is about to leave, Connor's life
force takes over Duncan's body and calls out for Kell to
continue the fight. Duncan and Kell return to
battle, where MacLeod eventually beheads Kell.
On theDVD there's an alternate ending where Kell lets
Kate survive. She and Duncan are reunited at the
end.
